Whether you want to enjoy a seafood feast before the fireworks or watch the show from a rooftop with a cocktail in hand, several DC-area restaurants, bars, and hotels are planning special Fourth of July celebrations.

This year’s fireworks are scheduled to begin at 10:30 PM. While popular viewing destinations such as Moonraker, the Salamander, the Graham, and CUT Above are already sold out, there are still several options available for dinner, drinks, and rooftop festivities.

Celebrate Before the Fireworks

Fiola

Start the evening with an upscale pre-fireworks gathering at Fiola in Penn Quarter. The Italian restaurant’s soirée will feature snacks, food stations, and cocktails, including Limoncello spritzes.

The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, giving guests enough time to enjoy the celebration before walking over to the nearby National Mall.

Fish Shop

Fish Shop is kicking off its monthly crab feast series on Independence Day. The Wharf seafood restaurant’s crab feasts will continue once a month through October.

Each ticket includes half a dozen steamed crabs, along with crab hushpuppies, cornbread, salad, and kohlrabi slaw. Four seating times will be available beginning at 5 PM.

Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab

Located near the White House, Joe’s Seafood is hosting a pre-fireworks party filled with seafood, drinks, and small bites.

Guests can enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres, a chilled seafood bar, wine, cocktails, and miniature pies. The celebration will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

Fiola Mare

Fiola Mare’s waterfront location makes it a fitting place to celebrate the Fourth of July. The Georgetown Italian seafood restaurant is planning an evening with DJ sets, an open bar, seasonal food, and waterfront views.

The menu will include summery favorites such as crabcakes and lobster rolls, while guests take in postcard-worthy views from the Georgetown waterfront.

Good Fortune at Hotel Heron

Good Fortune, the rooftop bar at Hotel Heron in Old Town Alexandria, will begin its Fourth of July celebration at 4 PM.

A ticket includes all-you-can-eat barbecue and ice cream, access to an open bar, and rooftop views of the fireworks.

La Vie

La Vie is bringing music and waterfront views together for its “Diamonds in the Sky” celebration.

The DJ-led rooftop party begins at 3 PM and continues until the fireworks. Guests will also have access to an open bar during the first hour of the event.

For those hoping to avoid the crowds around the National Mall, The Line DC’s Adams Morgan rooftop offers a more relaxed alternative.

The celebration will feature a DJ, cocktails, and snacks. General tickets include one cocktail, while the upgraded option comes with canapés, guaranteed seating, and a drink.

VUE Rooftop at Hotel Washington is offering an adults-only Fourth of July experience for guests ready to splurge.

Top of the Gate at The Watergate
